The Ametek HPC500 and HPC502 pressure calibrators combine deadweight tester accuracy in a modern digital package
with a host of user friendly capabilities. The HPC500/HPC502 bring laboratory accuracy to on-site, field-usable
instruments and may be used in a very broad range of applications from simple tool type jobs to complex calibration
jobs in custody transfer systems.
The HPC500 and HPC502 have a sixteen pressure ranges from 25mbar (0.35psi) to 700 bar (10,000 psi) with absolute,
differential and gauge sensors. Accuracy is as high as ±0.025% of reading +0.01%FS. Single (HPC500) or dual (HPC502)
sensor versions are available, eliminating the need for two separate calibrators. The HPC500/HPC502 is temperature
compensated from 0 to 50°C for on-site operation. High accuracy temperature measurement is available via the optional
Pt100 sensor.
The Ametek HPC500 and HPC502 offer such features as user configurable information display, 15 different pressure
units, transmitter supply, mA input, % error calculation, voltage measurement, serial communication and external
pressure module capability. The rugged compact device has a large backlit graphical display a user friendly menu
with icons that show current status and mode and one, two or three measurement windows to suit specific applications
or needs. A dedicated zero test button to provide convenient zero before test helps ensure accuracy.
The Ametek HPC500 and HPC502 pressure calibrators are available as an independent calibrator or in one of six
ready-for-test systems that are complete and equipped to meet any pressure calibration need. When ordering as a
calibrator-only, pressure transducers (a single transducer for model HPC500 and two transducers for model HPC502),
batteries, adapters (1/8" BPS male to 1/4" NPT male and 1/8" BSP male to 1/4" BSP female), a 1/8" sealed gasket,
test leads, a hand strap with clip, a user manual and a NIST traceable calibration certificate are also included.
When test systems are ordered all the components of the calibrator-only kit are included as well as a hand pump,
protective carrying case, telflon tape and additional adapters.
Ametek HPC500/HPC502 Test Kits:
HPC Test System A
System A includes an Ametek HPC pressure calibrator, standard accessories, and one of the following pneumatic
hand pumps: T-960 (0 to 2 bar) or T-970 (0 to 40 bar). System A is an easy-to-use single hand operated calibration
system. No need for a flat surface to operate the system - just hold it in your hand.
HPC Test System B
System B includes an Ametek HPC pressure calibrator, standard accessories, one of the following dual function
pneumatic hand pumps: T-965 (vacuum to 2 bar) or T-975 (vacuum to 40 bar). With this pump, you can calibrate both
vacuum and pressure applications. It takes just a few seconds to switch between vacuum and pressure.
HPC Test System C
System C includes an Ametek HPC pressure calibrator, standard accessories, and either a T-620 (0 to 200 bar) or
T-620H (0 to 350 bar) high-pressure hydraulic hand pump with an oil reservoir to prime the system.
HPC Test System D
System D includes an Ametek HPC pressure calibrator, standard accessories, and an easy-to-use hydraulic screw pump
(0 to 350 bar) using either water or oil. Place the pump on a flat surface and turn the handle to generate pressure.
You can adjust the calibrator to fit the best viewing angle. The system includes a manifold for connection of the
test device.
HPC Test System E
System E includes an Ametek HPC pressure calibrator, standard accessories, and a high-pressure hydraulic jack pump
(0 to 700 bar). The hydraulic pump makes it very easy to prime the system. You can adjust the calibrator to fit the
best viewing angle. The system includes a manifold for connection of two test devices, and the fine adjustment
volume adjuster is standard.
HPC Test System F
System F includes an Ametek HPC pressure calibrator, standard accessories, and a Type T water or oil pump (0 to
1,000 bar). The system includes a manifold for connection of two test devices and the volume adjuster for fine
adjustment is standard. The pump and system may be ordered with either oil or a water/alcohol mixture as pressure
medium. The pump is constructed of 300 series stainless steel and Monel allowing for the use of other
hydraulic media.
Please refer to the data sheet for more information regarding each system.
