Description
The fixed Fuji Electric Time Delta S ultrasonic flow meter system is based on the transit time measurement method for measuring flow rates of relatively clean homogeneous liquids. Fuji Electric Time Delta S ultrasonic flow meter systems are composed of a converter and a clamp-on sensor set.
With its microprocessor-based electronics, the Fuji Electric Time Delta S ultrasonic flow meter can be easily configured from the front keyboard to particular applications. Applications of the Fuji Electric Time Delta S ultrasonic flow meter include flow measurement of any fluid through which an ultrasonic signal may be transmitted, including those of unknown sound velocities. The Fuji Electric Time Delta S ultrasonic flow meter is ideally suited for liquid flow measurement for pipe diameters from 0.50 to 235 inches.
Fuji Electric Time Delta S ultrasonic flow meters are compact and lightweight, incorporating the latest electronics and high speed digital signal processing technologies (32 bit MPU). This results in high performance and easy operation.
Benefits of the Fuji Electric Time Delta S Ultrasonic Flow Meter:
- No system downtime for installation
- No system contamination
- No pressure drop
- No moving parts
- No risk of leaks
Transit Time Ultrasonic Flow Meters – Technology Explained
Transit Time ultrasonic flow meters such as the Fuji Electric Time Delta S ultrasonic flow meter are well-suited for relatively clean fluids with low to moderate aeration. These meters operate by comparing the time for an ultrasonic signal to travel with the flow (downstream) against the time for an ultrasonic signal to travel against the flow (upstream). The difference between these transit times is proportional to the flow, and the flow meter converts this information to flow rate and total. With this technology, the transducers are mounted on the outside of the pipe, providing tremendous advantages over more traditional and invasive flow measurement instruments. This product is virtually maintenance free.
