Chilled Mirror Dew Point Meters

Chilled mirror dew point meters also known as hygrometers are amongst the most accurate humidity meters available. Capable of accuracies up to ±0.2°C, chilled mirror hygrometers are commonly used in calibration labs or in industrial applications where precise and repeatable humidity measurement is required. This accuracy and the inherent long term stability of chilled mirrors provide many advantages over other humidity measurement technologies.

Chilled mirror hygrometers work by passing a sample of air or gas across a temperature controlled mirror. The temperature of the mirror is reduced until the sample begins to condense on the mirror surface indicting the dew point temperature. Moisture content of the sample can be calculated from the dew point temperature. This process results in highly precise measurements without long term drift.
