The APG TLS Cable Float Switch is a dual-point liquid level switch that provides reliable level detection and control for water and wastewater applications. The cable-suspended float tracks liquid levels, with built-in hysteresis for better pump control. The switch operating levels are easily adjustable by repositioning the cable weight location along the suspension cable.
The TLS features high chemical resistance, with a material construction of polypropylene or ABS resin housing, and IP68 waterproof protection. The TLS can withstand liquid temperature ranges from -10°C up through 70°C. The durable design is built for reliable operation and is not sensitive to float rotation. Two base configurations of the unit are available: the TLS-6 with a smaller 4.2x2.8in float and 11 to 39in switching differential, and the TLS-8 with a larger 6.5x3.3in float and 13 to 157in switching differential. Both iterations have a maximum pressure rating of 29psi.
The switches can be configured for high-level alarm/empty control with a normally open circuit, or for low-level alarm/fill control with a normally closed circuit. Standard cable lengths are 6m, with custom cable lengths up to 20m available, depending on the configuration. The TLS is particularly well-suited for level monitoring and pump control in sewage lift stations, sump pits, and other wastewater applications with low specific gravities down to 0.6.
