Analog Thermometer for the Food and Beverage Industry
The Background: Our customer is a prominent beverage brand that seeks to add redundancy in the sensors monitoring the temperature of production processes.
The Problem: Maintaining precision control of production processes is vital to food and beverage companies as any variation can affect the product quality. Our customer wants to add a number of analog thermometers so they can continue to monitor critical processes in case the power goes out rendering their digital thermometers useless.
The Solution: We recommended Ashcroft EL Series bimetal thermometers which are widely used in food production. The EL series uses a silicon fill fluid to reduce needle bounce and the native lens is plastic and not glass which is a safety hazard in food production. The EL Series is a low cost and versatile analog gauge that can be deployed in all processes, from cryogeneic to super-hot pasteurization.
