Influent Tank Level Monitoring
The Background: Our customer is a water treatment plant that wants a new level measuring option on an influent tank.
The Problem: The influent tank currently has a bottom mounted level transmitter that has been giving the operators some “issues”.
The Solution: We suggested the Mercoid ULT-11 ultrasonic level detector which will be mounted on top of the tank and used as a comparator to the existing bottom-mounted unit. Mercoid’s ruggedness, price point and fast delivery were a couple key selling points for this application.
Tank Level Monitoring at a Linen Supply Company
The Background: Our customer is a regional uniform rental and linen supply company that operates over 100 facilities. They want to accurately and safely measure levels in different tanks containing detergent, bleach, etc.
The Problem: The customer wants a transmitter that is not in contact with the medium. They also want the levels to be viewed by the operator down on the production floor.
The Solution: We suggested the Mercoid ULT-11 ultrasonic level transmitter paired with an Autonics KN-2000W panel meter. The panel meter runs on 110VAC supply and provides the 24VDC voltage required for the ULT-11 to operate, thus eliminating the need for an additional DC power supply. Instrumart also programmed the panel meter and the level transmitters according to the customer’s specification at no cost prior to shipping. This set-up is currently being used at several of the customer’s facilities around the country.
