Description
Watlow 375 high temperature strip heaters are constructed of a coiled, nickel-chromium element wire in the center of the heater; it is embedded in magnesium oxide (MgO) based insulation compacted into a sold mass. This creates excellent heat conductivity and high dielectric strength. The heater is then enclosed in aluminized steel or 430 stainless steel sheathing.
The aluminized steel sheath option minimizes heat-up time but the 430 stainless steel option goes higher in temperature.
