This device utilizes infrared technology with a range detection of up to 660ft (200m) depending on your configuration. Worldwide approvals/certifications for the Rosemount 935 include ATEX, IECEx, FM/FMC, INMETRO, TR CU, and SIL 2 (TÜV).
