The VEGA VEGASWING 53 Vibrating Level Switch is a universal level switch for liquids with small dimensions. Independent of the mounting position, the VEGASWING 53 detects the limit level with millimeter accuracy. The position of the switching point is determined via the tube extension. The instrument can be used as an empty or full detector, as approved overfill protection, dry run protection, or pump protection in vessels and pipelines.
The sensor's vibration drive energizes the tuning fork to vibrate at its resonance frequency. When covered with medium, the frequency of the fork decreases. This frequency change is processed by the integrated electronics and converted into a switching command. With the compact 38mm tuning fork, the VEGASWING 53 works reliably independent of the installation position in any liquid. Pressure, temperature, foam, viscosity, and the composition of the liquid do not influence the switching accuracy.
The wetted parts of the instrument are made of 316L stainless steel. The supplied process seal is made of Klingersil C-4400.
The position of the switching point can be up to 1m away from the installation location.
