Dakota NDT dual element transducers are for use with their ultrasonic thickness gauges. These transducers include a 4' cable as well as either potted, microdot or lemo connectors. A number of features including a high temperature option, high wear armored cable, extra resolution and others are available with certain transducers to better suit the needs of difficult applications. Transducers are available in 3/16, 1/4 and 1/2" diameters.
Dakota NDT dual element transducers are available in frequencies ranging from 1.0 to 10 MHz. Each frequency range is best suited for different types of material:
1.0 MHz Transducer:
Cast iron, plastics (polypropylene, polyethylene, etc.), fiberglass
2.25 MHz Transducer:
Cast iron, plastics (polypropylene, polyethylene, etc.), thin fiberglass
3.5 MHz Transducer:
Thru coating multiple echo, cast iron, plastics (polypropylene, polyethylene, etc.), thin fiberglass
5.0 MHz Transducer:
Steels, glass, thin plastics
7.5 MHz Transducer:
Steels, aluminum, glass, thin plastics
10.0 MHz Transducer:
Aluminum, titanium, steels
